Paul Keetch, Member of Parliament for Hereford, recently visited Garway Primary School to see first hand the new wind turbine and solar panels that have recently been installed. At the school Paul met with Karen James, the teacher leading on this Eco-project.

Commenting on the visit the MP said, "Garway Primary is one of only a handful of schools in Herefordshire to have achieved their second Green Flag Award. The school's eco committee is very driven and looked into various sustainable energy solutions for the school, coming up with the wind turbine and solar panels to meet their electricity needs.

"I am delighted that after securing funding for the project and following much hard work in planning for its' installation the turbine and panels are now in place and can be celebrated by the school and local community. I feel that all schools could benefit in similar ventures as could local businesses and small factory units in providing a wealth of renewable energy."
