KEETCH SUPPORTS TRAINING FOR NEW DRIVERS

Paul Keetch, Liberal Democrat MP for Hereford, has lent his support to a pioneering safer car and insurance scheme aimed especially at young drivers in an effort to keep them safe when they first get behind the wheel.

The MP has added his signature to an Early Day Motion backing the insurers, Young Marmalade, noting that new drivers that take up the scheme are three times less likely to be involved in a crash when out driving.

Commenting, the MP said, "There are parts of the county that are renowned as accident hotspots. Any measures that drivers can take to prevent road traffic collisions such as those we too often see on Herefordshire roads receive my full backing and I congratulate Young Marmalade on their innovative approach."
