'No Waiting' for Local MP

3.48.19pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 2nd Jun 2008

Intervention from Local Lib Dem MP Paul Keetch has finally brought about a long awaited traffic regulation order on a residential road in Ross-on-Wye.

'No Waiting At Any Time' has now been implemented on Brookfield Road, which has been campaigned for by local residents and the MP to alleviate problems of access and egress by large vehicles using the road and especially emergency vehicles, which had previously been obstructed or hindered by vehicles parked on Brookfield Road.

Commenting Paul Keetch said, "Brookfield Road residents first approached me in 2006 about their concerns for access on the road. I am delighted that Herefordshire Council have finally agreed and implemented the restrictions which will go some way to alleviating the problems hitherto experienced in the area."
