The previous record for petitions presented in one day was 44 in March 2006. He was concerned that some of the soldiers currently deployed from allied countries other than the UK and USA are not currently being used as effectively as they should be. As a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Keetch visited Afghanistan in April this year and saw at first hand what the situation was really like.                                                                                </description>

He placed a cross in the Herefordshire Regiment plot in remembrance of the soldiers from and based in Hereford and all other members of the British Armed Forces who gave their lives for their country.                                                                                </description>
